"I just want things to be nice for him."
What a touching, sweet film. I feel like the portrayal of rural America is always in a negative light, so I'm so thankful when films like this exist. It paints such a beautiful picture of a loving town surrounded by mountains and trees accompanied the most heart-wrenching vintage country soundtrack. On top of this, it's full of LGBT representation!!!! As other letterboxd users said, this is a gay, gentle, Twin Peaks-esque dream. It's a kind film about the countryside. I miss my home. Kentucky is beautiful. If you ever get the chance to visit, take it. 💕
