Cinematic Underdogs’s review published on Letterboxd:
Where Borat belittles and divides, Bad Trip brings together and conquers.
And it does so by infusing candid camera pranks with not only hilariously juvenile hijinks, but also uber-maudlin moments (make-up speeches and choreographed dance numbers) of classic cinematic idealism that make us all swoon and clap.
This is truly a warm, feel good movie—shenanigans and all. Just don’t tell that to the barber who legit pulled out a knife when asked to sever dumb and dumber’s phalluses, conjoined at the tip by a Chinese finger trap.
