The Ides of March

The Ides of March ★★★½

A pretty good telling of a Presidential campaign, where innocence is lost, lies are told, ideals are foresaken, and backs are stabbed. Clooney may have bitten off a little too much, acting, producing and directing – the pace is quick, but the point-of-view shifts around making it feel a bit disjointed, choppy. One of Gosling’s better roles, as he holds his own with heavyweights Giamatti and Hoffman.
