Tao A’s review published on Letterboxd:
Been going through a rough patch lately (every winter has been a rough patch for me - not that the other three seasons is any easier) so I found myself habitually seeking whatever remaining comfort that I could still find in this sure-to-be short-lived existence in the only place that I know how: Wong Kar-wai movies. But I dunno what came over me today that I decided to get a bit adventurous in here and chose to watch In the Mood for Love, which I hadn’t seen in like 10 years. I should’ve just stuck to the tried and true method of watching Fallen Angels for like the fiftieth time because holy shit watching this just made me feel WAY worse. Like actual fucking depression right now. I had totally forgotten how devastating this movie was and some of the emotions that Wong Kar-wai portrays on screen is so OVERWHELMING that I found it hard to breathe at times. But hey that’s just my sentimental ass talking.
