the decision to cast george mackay as hamlet is the only praise i can give this. the tragedy of ophelia (which is for me, the most powerful arch in all of hamlet and my favourite shakespearean female by a mile) is lost amongst daisy ridleys terrible acting and a directionless clusterfuck of lines chosen to mould and squeeze the original play into their monetising hyper-feminist agenda. and apparently the more eyeliner you wear the more insane you are, which i can confirm.

    Mary Shelley

skewed time line, factually inaccurate, weak performances. somehow managed to make some of the most dynamic literary figures of the past 200 years appear 2D, uncharismatic and unlikeable. basically two hours of shitting on percy shelley for shit that didn’t happen; an insulting commemoration of probably the greatest poet that’s ever lived - and yes that is bias.
mary shelley was a fucking badass man, this does not do her character justice in the slightest

    A bong hit.
A dark, biting social commentary that lingers like the scent of the Kims to the Parks. With genius writing, ground-breaking direction and phenomenal acting (most notably the outstanding performance by Kang-Ho Song), Parasite suggests that it is the universal, unthinking and unanimous perpetuation of social structures, rather than the individualistic tendencies of those within them, that are to blame for class divisions and wealth extremities. The film yields both a refreshed perspective of society and a new direction filmmaking.
