Gone Girl

Gone Girl ★★★★★

Brilliantly directed film 'Gone Girl' follows the story of a man (Ben Affleck; 'The Town', 'Argo') whose wife (Rosamund Pike; 'Jack Reacher', 'World's End') goes missing on their anniversary. What starts as a plea to help to find her, however, ends up twisting and turning to make Affleck's character look more and more like a suspect.

So, I FINALLY rewatched it; yupp, still love the shit out of it.

The film is flawless; everything from the acting, the direction from the genius that is director David Fincher ('Seven', 'The Social Network'), the cinematography, the story based on the novel by author Gillian Flynn, the writing, the hints of humour scattered throughout this serious and tense as hell film... all fantastic. And just so you know, shit gets real dark in this; you NEED to watch it.

The story itself is so enticing, so gripping, that you become fully engrossed. That over 2 hours of run time? Flies by. What starts off innocently and conventionally enough gradually twists and turns into something much deeper, darker, and much more disturbing.

WATCH IT.
NO SERIOUSLY WATCH IT.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? GO AND WATCH IT LITERALLY NOW.
