Dune 1984
unpopular opinion on letterboxd, but i enjoyed this one. despite its flaws like the predictably bad vfx (the shield and the blue eyes took me out) and the rushed narrative of the second half, i thought this was better at introducing characters and explaining things than the 2021 movie. 1984 dune was camp and i liked it.

somehow much better than the first time i watched this. the ‘space age love song’ needledrop and that what-if moment were, in my opinion, some of the best scenes in modern queer cinema. thank you, lucio castro.
