Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange ★★★½

"What's this? My mantra?"
"It's the wi-fi password. We're not savages."

I had quite a lot of fun with Doctor Strange, I didn't love it, but I laughed a lot and was blown away by so many of the visuals. I didn't see it in 3D and I'm kinda glad, because I think it would have been too much for my head to take it. There was so much awesomeness happening at some points, I found myself sitting with an open mouth saying weeeeeeeeeeeeeooooooow!

The cast were pretty good. I said during the movie that I was really glad that it turned out that Tilda Swinton was a women - like there was all this outrage that she was playing a Tibetan man, but it turned out she was just an old bald woman lol and that is fine with me.
I didn't know McAdams was going to be in and that was an unpleasant surprise lel, but she didn't feature too heavily and I think they really could have got any old actress playing that part.
Ejiofor was great, I liked what they did with his character and that is all I will say.
Mikkelsen was pretty cool, but very cliche in the way bad guys go.
Still not sure how I feel about Cumberbatch. I really like him as an actor, but I wasn't all that fond of his accent for one and I think his I'm a total prick attitude wasn't fully believable. BUT, I think his delivery of jokes was pretty good - the one name part was hilarious and I think he could grow on me.
Wong was my legit favourite, along with the Cape.

Final thoughts - I'm not totally sure if Doctor Strange was taking itself seriously or taking the piss, but it had the most cringeworthy moments of any Marvel film, they mostly made me laugh, so I won't hold it against them.

Not sure if I would recommend it, but it was enjoyable enough.
