Train to Busan was such a success to me for two reasons - adding something new to the zombie-movie genre and having such emotional weight to it. The action was relentless, the drama was character-driven and it became something of a cult hit. The sequel, Peninsula, is set four years later with completely new characters and a somewhat similar main plot to Army of the Dead. However, this reins it in to just less than two hours, so bonus points…
Today is the 40th anniversary of this film's first release. So why not?
Still one of the greatest films ever made, with perhaps the greatest character and the most iconic theme tune in film history. And to think he was originally going to be called Indiana Smith and be played by Tom Selleck...

It is impossible to hate this film, certainly one of the best British films of the 90s, yet it is often overlooked when talking about the best in general of that decade. The best British films are those that can take a social issue which is contemporary and relevant, presenting it in a way that is both informative and entertaining.…
