• While You Were Sleeping

    While You Were Sleeping

One of the coziest movies. I can't wait to watch more movies like this by the light of my Christmas tree this season.

  • Noelle

    The people's Santa.

  • The Last Days

    The Last Days

A am so thankful that people had the forethought to get these firsthand accounts of the Holocaust from its survivors while we still had them around. I hope every survivor around today still gets the chance to tell their stories, and I hope these stories will be received and remembered for many more lifetimes.

I'm at a loss for words honestly. Absolute perfection.

    12. A lot of people love to romanticize 80s comedies for nostalgic reasons. John Hughes movies, Ghostbusters, what have you. Personally I don't really give a fuck. Let's go 20 years earlier. Watch a comedy movie released in the 1960s.

There are a lot of things I really loved about this. Audrey Hepburn's performance specifically, there is a reason it is considered so iconic. The racism is uncomfortable, and those scenes did take me out of it, but…

  • Arthur Christmas

    Arthur Christmas

It lacks the Christmas magic it needs, and even when the movie claims to have found it, it doesn't feel like it. It's an entertaining enough movie, but its concept of Santa and the North Pole is kind of depressing in my opinion.

  • Spirited

Is this one of the best movies of 2022???

  • Cats Don't Dance

    Cats Don't Dance

The songs in this are excellent. Overall this is a charming and fun flick. I enjoyed it a lot more than I would have expected.

  • Detour

This is the kind of thing you think of when you think of film noir. A lot of the voiceover narration was so cliched by this point that it was genuinely funny. Clearly this must be an essential piece of the noir style.

  • Gaslight

Ingrid Bergman is just absolutely fantastic in this movie, a completely deserved best actress win. The acting in this overall is really fantastic. The atmosphere is great, and it's surprising how quickly a slow build can turn into a whirlwind. This is definitely a must watch.

Taken off my Best Picture Nominees list.
