"Resolve is never stronger than in the morning after the night it was never weaker."
Sardonically delivered dialogue so sharp you could shave with it. Nihilistic philosophizing spewing forth from our anti-hero like a broken faucet. A savagely bleak odyssey, peppered with moments of genuine humanity. A fiercely compelling tale of existential angst, bitter loneliness, sex and violence, set against the backdrop of post-Thatcher London. An unbelievably powerful performance from David Thewlis. A provocative, gritty slab of dark humour. Grim and poetic.
