    Every star goes to Caligula.

  • Deep Rising

    Deep Rising

Plus one star for a SeaDoo chase inside the hallways of a flooding cruise ship. The logistics of that are mind boggling.

"A" for effort on the digital effects in a time that they didn't hold up so well. And extra credit points for mixing media with Rob Bottin's practical stuff as well as miniature work.

Minus two stars for a team of elite soldiers who don't know how to fire in controlled bursts, and for dreadful dialog.

Takes a while to get there, but the last 20 minutes are everything.

  • The Dead Pool

    The Dead Pool

I'm thoroughly offended by the stereotype of film geeks being homicidal killers. Enough already!!

    Hospitals Don't Burn Down

Almost as harrowing as the New Zealand Drunk Driving PSA. Those folk down under don't mince words.
