Teddy Roberts’s review published on Letterboxd:
Dude, it's been a while since I've watched a movie for enjoyment. It feels kinda weird honestly.
And yeah Erin Brockovich is a fun time. I didn't necessarily gel with one half of the split narrative as the other, but regardless, it has fantastic performances, writing, and direction. Where it falls short for me in terms of anything deeper than the surface level watch (themes metaphors, symbols etc.). Furthermore, this is a film I was captivated by in certain moments, but the need to go back and watch it again is seemingly distant. I know it appears that the negative aspects prevail over the positive enjoyments, but I do in fact like this. Maybe it was my expectations that were the true hindrance of my love for this film.
It's been a long time since I've watched something okay!!
Also, big thanks goes to Sam for the recommendation!
