  • Little Women

    Little Women

There is just so much joy and love showing in this movie!
Every actor and actress is perfectly casted in a way where they play off each other so well with excitement and joy.
The editing elevates this story to impact you on emotional moments or feel a sense of joy that you wouldn't otherwise.
Notice how many times I used the word "joy", yeah that's because this is a movie when you watch it and feel nothing but joy.…

  • The Incredibles

    The Incredibles

It's been a while since I've seen this and now I see what all the fuss was about!
Such a fresh take on a genre that can get "incredibly" stale at times...

I'm sorry I swear my puns are better

  • Jojo Rabbit

    Jojo Rabbit

    Still amazing.
Flaws? For sure, do I care... nope!

  • Star Wars: The Last Jedi

    Star Wars: The Last Jedi

It's got a lot of dumb stuff... but dude this film does so much right!

  • My Neighbor Totoro

    My Neighbor Totoro

If I'm being completely honest I was actually a little underwhelmed.
With something like "Spirited Away" it packs so many metaphors and ideas to choose from. While this, on the other hand, didn't as much.
Don't get me wrong I still think this is an incredibly well-made film, I just didn't get the "A" tier I was originally anticipating...
Needless to say, a rewatch will be needed!

  • Zodiac

Something to be desired about the ending but I still loved it.
While I thought this was going to be similar to some of Fincher's other work this still stands out as not just an interesting mystery from the man, but an interesting mystery in general.
I had predictions while watching this (that turned out to be wrong btw) and that could possibly be why I'm not giving it a higher score.
So a rewatch will most definitely make me love it even more than I already do!

  • And Then There Were None

    And Then There Were None

There was something really to be desired from the colour palette...
But other than that this is very well made

  • Jumanji: The Next Level

    Jumanji: The Next Level

It was like the least surprising movie I've seen...
but that's also not necessarily a bad thing

  • The Farewell

    The Farewell

It's been a while since I felt the extent of this many emotions at once...
Throughout the entire film, it had me on the edge of tears until the ending when I suddenly broke down. I couldn't even explain why this film affected me so profusely... it just did.

  • Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb

    Straight up genius...
I thought this was just going to be a smart black comedy but those last few minutes solidifies so much more than that...

  • The Two Popes

    The Two Popes

Wonderful performances, beautifully directed, interestingly edited. All the things that I want in a movie. And even though I didn't enjoy the cinematography that much, that only comes down to personal preference and I could see others really enjoying it.
Honestly, just such a wholesome film that left me with a smile on my face...

  • Parasite

    "it's so metaphorical"

I got a completely different reaction on second viewing and... uh... it's a masterpiece.
I felt every emotion while watching this, I felt scared, humoured, emotional etc.
This is undoubtedly the best screenplay and film of the year for me just on how well it works on so many different levels.
It's certainly not a movie for everyone, but I think it does well at breaking through that line of foreign/oscar films, into normal blockbusters and I would recommend you give it a shot if you haven't already.
