    Star Trek Into Darkness

Yeah, it's good, but I can't get over Butawhiteboy Cantbekhan's insane over-the-top performance

  • The Great Gatsby

    The Great Gatsby

Watched this for class to further understand the book and dude those first 25 minutes were as close to tripping on acid as I'll probably get.

  • Back to the Future Part III

Back to the Future Part III

It's really hard now that I've watched The Good The Bad and The Ugly... because literally everything else just sucks.
But hey, that track by ZZ Top is straight FIRE!

  • Philomena

If I'm being perfectly honest, I was a little underwhelmed. Now granted, the performances are fantastic and the dynamic that permeates throughout the film is great, I just felt as if there was something missing. And I'm being able to blame that on the fact of my misconception of both the leads being the mother and son. I seriously couldn't tell you how set I was on both of them being related. It was even if the movie treated them…

  • Jumanji: The Next Level

    Jumanji: The Next Level

My mom: "like chewing gum for the mind"
Me: "yeah but it's like the stuff you find under your seat on the school bus from elementary school"

That pretty much sums up my thoughts on this and anything starring Dwayne-The-Pebble-Johnson... still not letting that joke go.

  • X-Men: First Class

    X-Men: First Class

Much more of a comic book-inspired adaptation than I originally remember. Opinions that will differ on if that is a pro or con but unfortunately I found it to be too goofy for how the tone was portraying itself with the constant involvement with the government and such.
However, I do believe the Erik and Charles dynamic to be incredibly strong in this film... and the movie isn't directed by Bryan Singer so that's a plus!

  • The Amazing Spider-Man

    The Amazing Spider-Man

    Spider-Man Marathon - Movie #4

Too many people hate on this, it has issues for sure, but is has some actual good scenes of characterization that many people seemed to have missed... It is kinda hard to look away from Andrew Garfield so I'll cut people some slack on that one.

  • The Hate U Give

    The Hate U Give

I've never seen a film more at a tug-of-war with itself.
It comes to a conclusion that has no idea what it wants to be or the purpose it's trying to convey to the audience.
Yes, the actors have incredible chemistry and the direction is surprisingly well handled. But I can't be invested in a narrative and theme that is written by a person who isn't confident in the story that they're trying to tell. It's really too bad that…

  • Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days

The last shot of Rodrick was of him shoving a mouthful of chips down... and honestly, I couldn't relate more.

  • Joker

The fact that people are making this out to be more than it is, kinda makes me like it less.
It's not the best movie ever made and it's not the worst movie ever made either.

I don't really feel like talking about the ideas it takes from both Taxi Driver and The King Of Comedy. All I'll leave it at is the amalgamation of both of these creates something that has a hard time focusing on one subject, and…

  • Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw

Scorsese's comments towards the MCU I think should be directed toward these movies more than anything.

  • Ford v Ferrari

    Ford v Ferrari

The only reason why I was somewhat interested in watching this a second time was because of me sitting in a hot tub eating pizza and drinking lemonade on a cruise...
