Teddy’s review published on Letterboxd:
from the brutal open of the film to the wicked end, i was beyond mesmerized by everything i saw in this film. i’ve said it before and will say it again but, Florence Pugh is beyond amazing and truly loved her in this. it carries a sense of dread that heavily lingers throughout. the whole draw of the film for me is how gorgeous it looks throughout, even in some of it’s darker scenes. it is easy to compare this to Hereditary but Midsommar is a totally different thing. all i can say is i loved this brutal trip of a film and i’m on board for any future projects from Ari Aster.
