    The intrigue and scope of Arrival's ideas play to Villeneuve's strengths and result in a well crafted and smart work of science fiction that poses thought provoking questions. I only wish that the film could have made better use of its two hour runtime, given that I felt there was a general lack of characterization for the side characters or complete development for Louise.

    Another fun outing from Wright, Pegg, and Frost. Considering its placement in the trilogy, it draws comparisons to Shaun of the Dead and The World's End. Now, I've yet to see The World's End, however I think that Hot Fuzz is inevitably not as effective as its predecessor.
