Technically a person who exists. Not promising more than that.

Kustom Kar Kommandos 1965
Scorpio Rising in miniature, this time about cars. Specifically the function of cars as both an object and a sublimation of sexual desire. Wish the camera wasn't so bumpy! Otherwise a pretty perfect example of the subversive potential of pictures set to music.

Puce Moment 1949
RIP Kenneth Anger, one of the most singular dudes to ever make moving pictures. This absolutely gorgeous film is basically just a bunch of clothing shaken in the direction of the camera and a glamorous lady swanning around with a lovely atemporal psych folk soundtrack and a guest appearance by a magical self-moving couch. Stirs up so many feelings within me, love it.

My Octopus Teacher 2020
A mysteriously wealthy documentary filmmaker has something of an emotional breakdown, realizes he's working too hard and neglecting his family, and so he quits, immediately takes up an intense and obsessive daily diving regimen, begins an emotional affair with an octopus, and has someone else film a documentary about him. I'm sure that's really helping you connect with your kid, dude.
Has a lot of really beautiful and fascinating octopus footage but also a lot of really overbearingly portentous voiceover…

Maid in Manhattan 2002
Near the beginning of this film, J. Lo's son gives a speech in which he argues that Nixon was a much more ethically nuanced figure than is generally acknowledged, and at the end he delivers an impassioned plea to the press in favor of forgiving liars for their trespasses all so his mom can keep banging a Republican politician. Makes you think.
