it might’ve not been as endearing as its predecessor, but it’s incredibly entertaining. it was funny and goofy, but in a good way. helen, lucy, and rachel were incredible as the daughters of atlas, and everything else was just as enjoyable. i’m not really a fan of shazam in general, but i’ve always loved how these movies are driven by what family truly means.

5 still holds the title for the most memorable and gruesome kills but whew do i fucking love that final act. the reveal was predictable and i don’t care about the ghostfaces, but who cares when jenna and melissa ate that shit right the fuck up. i love how ghostface was absolutely brutal and cruel in this one, and i LOVED that opening kill like finally something that felt completely fresh. i’m not even mad at certain people not dying…

The longest film in the franchise does show its length at times, and although I can feel like wheels of creativity slowing down, Scream VI was entertaining and engaging all where it needed to be. With some happy surprises and killer death scenes.
