I love Sion Sono but man, this was quite lacking. Surprisingly uneventful for the first 2/3s, with a generic "convict does a job but ends up getting emotionally involved" story we've seen a lot before, the few crazy Cage moments don't really make up for the amount of time I have to take this movie seriously.
