I really didn’t know anything about this going in and man I got hit with a fat eye opener. First off, the arc we get with Song Kang-ho is INSANE and he’s such an incredible actor. Starts off as just a guy doing what he can to provide for his daughter and does that by owning a taxi. He over hears this other taxi driver talking about a well payed job and snakes his way…
I heard this randomly mentioned in a Bert Kreischer podcast and what a fucking GEM. A British time travel comedy, somewhat in the vein of SOTD. Call me crazy, but I’m lowkey a Fast fan… Even at this series worst(which this is pretty close to), I can still have fun with how ultra dumb and absolutely ridiculous it is. I do gotta admit tho. After seeing the trailer I was not hyped on this… really at all. Still, I knew without a doubt I was watching…

Black Christmas is one of my favorite slashers of all time, so if you’re telling me Bob Clark has another slasher under his sleeve, I’m watching it with full excitement.
I can’t even call this a full blown slasher either bcuz it does push in a more psychological direction and delivers a way deeper story than I anticipated. The slashin was pretty effective tho, as everything slowly builds towards that dark finale. The performances are great too and the trauma from the Vietnam War, comes across quite well. A unique slash and it’s an interesting Bob Clark gem. 6.9/10🪖

So entertaining, so funny, and you know it, so damn dumb all throughout. You either connect with this typa comedy or wont at all but this is one of those I’ve just always loved. The 2nd one not too much. Hansel steals it tho! 8.4/10📸
