Auteurs Run Amok (Read a Book)

1969-1976 was an unusually freewheeling time for big studio movies. They all had some impact on me and influenced my thinking about stuff.

WARNING: as expected many of these film did not age well in terms of social messaging. Which is a nice way of saying some of them are racist, *phobic and misogynist as fuck. Some of them romanticize, glorify and pornify violence. Many of them were made by truly awful, disgusting people. Some of them retain technical value and other may inform as important cultural snapshots of an era. I do not provide any further context here.

Do not watch any of these if you haven't read a book.
