Horrifying.
What's horrifying?
Well, a mutating Godzilla for one. One that can be a blubbering fish-like monster bleeding from its gills one second and then the armoured goliath we all know and love the next.
But perhaps more horrifying than even that is the DUM DUM DUUUUM . . . Bureacracy! The majority of the movie is spent from the government's perspective as they speak quickly into the camera, shots edited together at a break neck pace, and yet nothing gets done. It's all distance with no displacement [1].
P.S. The atomic breath scene left me gobsmacked. Even with all the Godzilla movies I've seen of late, the devastation on display was something else.
