A pastor by day, "creature of the night" at night? Uncanny premonition...
The Rocky Horror Picture Show had been on my watchlist for a very long time... it was the first movie to pop up when "cult classics" was googled. So its no surprise that i watched this movie with "antici-"
Flamboyant and flaunting it, TRHPS was a wild ride.
Thanks for the recc, CH
Lets get this straight: Horror movies seldom age well. It baffles kids these days that people lost their shit watching The Exorcist or bitch about how The Shining "is totally overrated, LOL". If being startled constitutes horror then watch a Blumhouse movie.
The Evil Dead seldom "scared" me but it did, however, make me feel that I was trapped in the cabin with Ash... and thats all I want... its called suspension of disbelief in "film geek terminology". But more…
Its the ultimate Rorschach test: What do you think the plot of this movie is?
Don't let the 3.9 fool you...
If you saw the "plot twist" coming, you're not alone.
If you felt the horror elements unconvincing, you're not alone.
If you dont get why this movie is regarded high, you're not alone.
Though its commendable that Us tries to be as ambiguous it can be, i cannot believe that the second feature reminds me of Flander saying I’ve done everything the bible says. Even the stuff that contradicts the other stuff.
I can't see anything! I've never seen
anything! You're cruel! You're wicked!
I love how this movie captures the ambiguity of the short story and if an au pair panders a couple of brats like Flora and Miles then for sure she is insane... and a predator?
Thank you, Willow, for the recc...
