Well, this finishes my rewatch of the Star Wars films. I felt like this dropped off halfway through and then somehow refueled up towards the end and then went nowhere.

It's disappointing that there wasn't a clear storyline from start to finish between JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson in the director's chair. They should have kept Lawrence Kasdan in charge of the story from start to finish. Kathleen Kennedy failed here IMHO.

A mile-and-a-half better than The Force Awakens but not by a longshot. I did love Rian Johnson's use of red in this film as there's quite a lot of it. The best-set design had to have been Snoke's throneroom.

And the Porgs. The Porgs are the best part. Wookiee and Porgs together in harmony. In Porg We Trust.

This is definitely going to find a place in my top ten (or twenty) for certain. This is the most wholesome film I’ve watched that was released in 2022. It’s cute, adoring and captured grief and loss perfectly. I recently lost my grandmother a few weeks ago and this was very heartfelt and played with my heartstrings. I didn’t realize that this was based on a viral series of YouTube videos released quite a while ago.

    Definitely suggest that you…

A superb music documentary. I just love the saxophone so much. If there was any instrument I wished I knew how to play it'd be the saxophone. Bleeding Gums Anthskel? Yes, please.

It was an interesting look at the avant-jazz of the 60s. I get the jazz bug from my dad and I've been missing him lately. Got any jazz-inspired films you'd recommend? Drop'em in the comments. I'd appreciate it.
