are you a lesbian? what's your favourite period film?
This movie is the only media about covid or lockdown that's actually worth the watch. The script is so good, one of the best from the stuff I've watched this year, and the whole story was a roller coaster of emotions from start to finish and - wow - the way Sharon Horgan and James McAvoy deliverd it! They have such a great chemistry I didn't expect to enjoy them together on screen so much. And this may actually be one Sharon's best performances and I just can't stop thinking about how amazing she was. Her monologue about the meaning of the word exponential.
A murder mystery, a musical, a christmas movie and family drama at the same time. It shouldn't work and yet it does. No wonder this is my all time favourite movie. They got all the best actresses in the french movie industry, eight women stuck in the same house, no man at sight, and I will not take any criticism on this but not a single one of these women is straight.
Happy birthday, Isabelle Huppert!
