    Loved having the opportunity to see this on the big screen for the first time.

    Years ago my son was asked to curate a Godzilla film for a Secret Cinema program in San Diego. He was in elementary school but decided on Godzilla Tokyo SOS because he liked the questions it raised about using Godzilla's DNA.

    This one is quite sad though because of a tragic death.

    Decently crafted but not terribly exciting horror tale about a young woman trying to figure out why her mother abandoned her as a bay in a cemetery.

    More atmospheric than outright horror and with a very femme-centric narrative to try and gain traction as socially aware horror.

    Solid cast helps to sell the story but not terribly hard to figure out where it's all heading and nothing is drawn with much depth or originality.

    Easy to watch but also easy…

    I do love the title Cocaine Bear but very little in this film lived up to the wild imaginings I had for the story.

    I have to confess that my reaction to the film may be tainted by the fact that I just came back from a Death Cabin vacation where I watched 31 truly BONKERS films and that I recently programmed a marathon of Animals Attack films and saw some genuine gems.
