If this movie places in the TIFF people’s choice awards I’m going to scream. It’s such a generic sports underdog movie that really has nothing to say in comparison to other movies in the genre.

My biggest issue is how Michael Fassbender’s character feels so centered in the narrative, taking away the emphasis on the rest of the team’s perspective. Wow, congratulations I guess on not deadnaming a trans person after actually getting to know them? That’s about the depth…

When watching Alexander Payne’s newest drama, the cozy winter atmosphere reminded me of holiday visits with my two Grandmas (one each on my mom and dad’s sides, but we did spend a few holidays together). Don’t mind me if I think about that long close-up on Nicole Kidman’s face in the theater for the rest of my life

This would make for a terrifying double feature with Oppenheimer.

It’s good - Shallow is definitely the highlight as well as the ending. The two leads are fantastic, but this is way overhyped, sorry. I liked it but it just felt like a lesser version of La La Land. The first act was amazing, but it started to lose me in the second half. It turned into a bit of a mess. My most anticipated movie of the year, damn... I'm so sad right now. I wanted to love this. I’ll probably see it again, I feel like I maybe missed something here.
