The movie that started my torrid love affair with Nicolas Winding Refn.

There's not a single thing I don't love about this movie. Ryan Gosling gives the performance of his life (La La Land can fuck off). Refn's visual blend of neon decadence and brutal violence is at its best here. And while it's his most straightforward film, it's loaded with themes regarding the nature of heroism and questions of whether or not bad men can do good things.

I just fucking love this movie, okay?
