So good! This film dealt with just about everything I love as a viewer. It’s hard not be a fan with nods to Giallo horror and a decently followable storyline. This film didn’t under or over serve but delivered what it sought out to do. An excellent edition to Queer cinema and modern giallo. FRENCH,LESBIAN PROTAGONISTS, and a M83 soundtrack . What else could I ask for ?

Peele doesn’t slip on the modern gothic elements that make him a dedicated auteur. However, the first 2/3 of the film doesn’t feel original. I’m getting a lot of the same tropes from a Michael Haneke film mixed that of a b horror movie plot. I’m hopeful for his next horror film to round out a solid trilogy. I feel pretty flat coming out of this one though :( at least Edgar Huntly would be impressed

MY GOD THIS FILM. Every time I watch Its a Wonderful Life I feel so hard for a new character. Too many relentless tear jerking moments! This year it was Mr. Gower. Dear lord! Did he make me want to cry every time I saw him. I forgot about the bar scene towards the end when he’s kicked out, oh did it  hit me. I don’t know why I feel so hard for him. I just wanted to hug him and make him lunch every Tuesday.
