Carmilla du Maurier’s review published on Letterboxd:
After letting it midsimmer, I do think I was mayhaps a little too harsh on this. I still stand by my criticisms, but there is a lot of greatness in here that was overshadowed by my misgivings. As far as thematic content goes, I really do love how it ends and I wish that narrative through-line had been focused on more throughout the film. There's a 90 minute masterpiece within Midsommar; it's just a shame it's hidden amongst all these baggy and underwhelming trappings.
