I liked the style and the concept but the plot and all the characters except Florence Pugh's don't do anything for me. I wish they explored more about her because everyone else wasn't interesting. What made Hereditary so amazing was how developed the characters were, and it made everything extra scary and emotional because you cared so much about them. With Midsommar, I was never super scared, creeped out, or tense throughout it. It worked at making me uncomfortable at times but nothing really memorable enough.
I'd still say it's pretty good because I love the colors and the cinematography. I thought the hallucination visuals were also pretty cool. We need more daytime horror!!!
