  • Cube

    Cube

    ★★★

Cube gets turned into an anime. I love the Cube series. This one isn't too bad but isn't great. It's trying to add some sort of dramatic storyline common in J Dramas when there shouldn't be one. I feel mixed but it's not a bad movie.

Isao Takahata... holy crap man. Forgot how great his films are. Big contrast from Grave of the Fireflies sad tone to a sad happy Only Yesterday (which later gave life to a Happy Sad Pom Poko) Been awhile since I've watched this, seen it only a handful of times. Saw it at a Fathom event and left it with a good vibe. This film isn't my favorite Ghibli movie nor is it perfect or competes with higher ranked films in…

The Three Wishes of Billy Grier

    ★★★½

A lost after-school special sort of movie. Ralph Macchio plays Billy Grier, a teenager who starts showing signs of a rapidly aging disease. Suprised i've never heard of this film until today and as being the 93rd person to log this on letterboxd I feel lucky. Co-starring some other recognizable names (including a young Laura Dern), the cast does a great job with the material. Just goes to show how well Macchio's acting was back in the day.

    It's definitely…

    The Outsiders

    ★★★★

Haven't seen this movie in years. I originally disliked this film after reading the book in High School, but it grew on me so much on this rewatching. The casting has top notch 80s actors. Ralph Macchio is the ideal actor you would imagine as Johnny.

I teared up when Ponyboy reunited with his family after their argument. It hits too close to my family upbringing.... I love my family even through our faults.

The screen adaptation is probably the…

No upgraded letterboxed artwork can fix this piece of trash. Angela Baker would of murdered this film from existence.

This movie was definitely bad for sure. Not at a level of so bad it's good throughout but also from a filmmaking perspective it's kind of astonishing.. the acting in this makes p0rn acting look Shakespearen. The main shark villain guy is clearly the best character in the whole movie he acts so stupid it's great. Don't even get me started on the ridiculous plot. The stock shark footage I'd rate about 3/10
