Call Me By Your Name is tiresome and tedious, and whether deliberately slow or not this is an absolute borefest that is only slightly saved by some good performances and beautiful direction. The characters are thinly written and i just didn't connect with them, the romance or anything at all to be completely honest. I think there's a great movie in amongst all this somewhere and i can 100% see why people are in love with it but I'm sorry, this was so disappointing... maybe it'll be better on rewatch?? [nervous laughter]
