Jack’s review published on Letterboxd:
If The Florida Project & Moonlight had a baby it would be this, and that still probably doesn’t do it any justice. A powerful coming of age film in its own right with a beautiful and unique take on discovering your sexuality, this is so genuine it’s actually frightening. The child actors are ferocious, worth a look for their performances alone but throw in an amazing score, some of the best cinematography I’ve seen all year and a perfectly paced hour and a half and you’ve really got yourself a winner. Adore the cutaways to Jonah’s sketches throughout the film too. Jeremiah Zagar is definitely one to watch out for in the future, what a talent.
