That was honestly dope as hell. More thoughts in the morning.
EDIT:
Okay, it's morning now. I really liked almost everything in this film. Yes, it's very '30s in its racial and gender stereotypes, sometimes cheesy dialogue, semi-flat characters, and unrealistic romantic plotline. None of these problems were too bad, however, and the greatness of other aspects completely overshadowed them. First of all, the special effects are absolutely stunning, and are even impressive by today's standards. The action is riveting. The visuals are awesome. The ending is stunning. There's so much to love, and Kong as a character was honestly pretty well-rounded and really interesting.
