Wow. So I had a lot of trouble trying to watch this film.... But finally. I got my hands on it and Jesus Christ it was worth the wait.
David Fincher. Nobody could've done this piece of work better than Fincher... He captures the most perfect, melodious tone for such a dark mysterious thriller.
One problem I found annoying, which didn't effect the overall quality of the film... Is the delivering of lines by the actors. While both Ben Affleck and Rosemund Pike are great, some of the lines they deliver aren't so believable, but the tone that Fincher gives the film makes this tolerable. This was just something that I was knit picky about, most people probably don't feel that way.
One of the biggest things for me here is the cinematography. This is without a doubt one of the better shot films of 2014. This is in my top 3 for cinematography of '14. The imagery is insanely gorgeous and beyond belief.
This was just worth it. I loved this movie.
