Because it's bigger than you... I know it hurts. No one asks to be left behind, but in a hundred years, when you and I are both long gone, any time someone threads a frame of yours through a sprocket, you will be alive again. You see what that means? One day, every person on every film shot this year will be dead. And one day,…

    Namor is coming.

A little underwhelming and certainly long, but a pretty great film throughout. Riri Williams should've been saved for a future instalment in my opinion as she felt shoehorned in. Angela Bassett kills it and delivers the best performance of the film, although her screen-time is cut short.

We don't need passports. We're the Justice Society.

The third act kinda drops the ball but I had quite a time with Black Adam. Definitely had some refreshing action and a few good moments, but overall a pretty lackluster movie. Can't say I didn't love it though! Here's hoping the eventual sequel is better.

edit dec 14 2022: yeah this ain’t getting a sequel rip DCEU and Cavill as Superman :/

Can't believe how divisive this film is. Certainly not up to Edgar Wright's usual quality but still pretty great nonetheless.

Do you know the oldest lie in America, senator? It’s that power can be innocent.

All things considered; this is genuinely great. Perhaps it's Marvel-exhaustion hitting me, or maybe that the Ultimate Edition is just that much better, but Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice never deserved the hate it got back in 2016.

Whoever's idea it was to not make this rated R should never be able to work in Hollywood again. It genuinely could've been one of the best movies in both franchises if it weren't for the horrible off screen deaths and PG-13 fight sequences.
