Brendan’s review published on Letterboxd:
this was one of the smartest and most different movies i've ever seen. it's not without its flaws - (the movie sometimes feels overly slow & overly complicated). but it really pays off at the end, when all the dots are finally connected.
see it in theaters if your interested. you'll want as minimal distractions possible for a movie like this. it's not for everyone - in fact my dad hated it with passion, calling it the worst movie he has ever seen - but there's a lot of enjoyment to be found if your able to look behind the literal meanings.
and btw repeat viewings are so necessary. there's a lot to take in so hopefully i can see it again soon. 3.5 for now. hopefully it can improve.
