oh I really misunderstood this filmé on my first watch (probably because I was doing my German homework while doing this) - so don't let other things distract you when watching a movie, kids!
anyway, this time I was aware of what was going on and it didn't feel like a compilation of random songs and stunts
the humour is ahead of it's time and although it could have been shortened by a good 10 mins - it stills shines as one of Hollywood's all time classics and this is one of the few that is making me thoroughly enjoy classic cinema
though they didn't really think about how Lina's life would go from there
I mean, she's unlikeable, but I can't help feeling that this is a prequel to Sunset Boulevard
also, in a scene, Gene Kelly is dressed like Stingy form Lazytown
