I've never seen a Kurosawa film at the cinema, but I don't think I can ever watch one again without seeing it at the cinema. This was a peerless cinema experience of a beautiful restoration of this film. I'm still drunk on its epic scope and wonderful evocation of King Lear. If you have the chance to see this, don't even hesitate - this is a cinematic universe in which we should all marvel.
