Chris Hormann’s review published on Letterboxd:
What a way to end the Wellington Film Society screening year for 2019, with a film that is a direct ancestor our opening film Mulholland Drive. And in Gloria Swanson as Norma Desmond, a performance that is surely one for the ages and even more powerful when seen on the big screen. The dark heart of Hollywood is exposed and the inspiration that drove David Lynch in his film career stands proud as one of the essential works in movie history. Unforgettable.
