The people who go into this list are only directors I've seen at least 2 things from.
Also: As a fan of Paris Texas and The American Friend, Wim Wenders used to be on this list. But after learning he filmed a 12-year-old kid topless in one of his films I removed him. Any directors like him or Roman Polanski are not going to go into this list. That being said, please keep in mind that not every director on this list I like outside of their movies, for example, Stanely Kubrick, Paul Schrader, and Francis Ford Coppola.
