Me watching this movie is proof that men cry too. This movie broke and rebuilt me, provoked feelings I haven’t felt in a long time, unearthed memories that I haven’t thought about in years. Yes. This is Tarantino. No doubts. From one stylistically gooey scene to the next, this movie crafts a Pulp Fiction competitor that follows the same sort of split-narrative technique. As a viewer, you lose yourself in the glossy, petty, dirty facade of Hollywood and become stirred in the mesh-pot of the over-privileged, the talented, and the rough. This was absolutely hilarious. Nonstop pranks, gimmicks, and so many laugh out loud moments. Its obviously cheesy to an extreme (and it’s supposed to be) and not all the jokes land, but the jokes that do are fantastic and original and memorable.

Man, does James Cameron love aliens, submarines, a big cast of many different cliche personalities, claustrophobic machinery, crazy illogical bad guys, drowning in cold water, or what?

It was delicately done, like a spiderweb woven so that you feel even the slightest tremor of movement — pulled into an emotional chaos with the simplest of apologies or the smallest of glances.

Can you make a worse movie??? My favorite part was when a product placement ad saved them all…
