Master Splinter’s review published on Letterboxd:
Incredibly generic in its characterization. Broadly paints love and marriage as destined for misery and failure. I'm not sure if Gillian Flynn is aware, but there are happy people in the world who don't go to such extremes as the characters in Gone Girl. Its hopeless world view and insane plotting doesn't cut it for me. Maybe check out some real life crime cases instead.
