Jake K’s review published on Letterboxd:
Eraserhead is a terrifying, gore filled, dream-like experience. Like a real nightmare, its terror is rooted in personal fear: in this case, the fear of adulthood. Surreal cinematography, character designs, editing, and acting brilliantly surround this film with an atmosphere of suspense and paranoia, as the viewer never knows just what to expect around the next corner. Alongside these film techniques, David Lynch utilizes crisp and terrifying sound design to create a convincing and cohesive film. This was my first full length Lynch film (unless you count both series of Twin Peaks/Fire Walk With Me), but it certainly won't be my last.
11:17 PM - Fifth and final film in my David Lynch marathon tonight.
