Jake K’s review published on Letterboxd:
This movie is still an absolute standout and my favorite Marvel film to date. Taika Waititi yet again proves himself as a director (especially a comedic one), practically saving the Thor franchise from every issue that plagued Thor: The Dark World by embracing the absurdity absent or stifled in much of the early Marvel canon. Gone are the days of grey backdrops, forgettable soundtracks, and quick-cut airport battles. Here to stay are (hopefully) bright colors, fun sound design, humor, experimentation, and artistic freedom for franchise directors.
