Trevor Allen’s review published on Letterboxd:
"...and engrave my name in the sun"
A journey to find answers, and to keep a sacred promise. Incendies is a devastating, but powerful film that leaves the viewer in a constant trance of shellshock with brutal and horrific imagery, and a challenging story that wraps up in tremendous fashion. However, my favorite aspect of this movie is the performance by Lubna Azabel that is the centerpiece of this movie's brilliance as she enhances the film's devastating and powerful emotions to an unfathomable degree, and it's an absolute treasure of a performance to watch. Quite possibly responsible in making this my new favorite from Villeneuve.
