Parasite

Parasite ★★★★★

"You know what kind of plan never fails? No plan. No plan at all. You know why? Because life cannot be planned. Look around you. Did you think these people made a plan to sleep in the sports hall with you? But here we are now, sleeeping together on the floor. So, there's no need for a plan. You can't go wrong with no plans. We don't need to make a plan for anything. It doesn't matter what will happen next. Even if the country gets destroyed or sold out, none of it fucking matters. Got it?"

IMAX

Still really fucking good! Despite the ticket being more than my own copy of the film, seeing Parasite in IMAX adds a lot more to be appreciated. Though the architecture is very impressive, and the production design is out of this world, Bong Joon-Ho does make this movie feel pretty big whenever examining the Park's household, as apposed to the ally ways and streets of Korea. In IMAX, these sets feel a lot more busy, the Kim's appartment feels more claustrophobic and uncomfortable, and everything just feels very small and so key scenes are absolutely enhanced; the fumigation and the flood (which, IMO, may go down as the scene of the year) are great examples to this. The sound work also pops out more significantly. Big moments felt even bigger with the IMAX sound mix, and really, it made the movie a hell of a ride that made me pretty satisfied with giving the IMAX format a shot for Parasite. Give it a shot, if you can.
