Asher Te Knight’s review published on Letterboxd:
This one is way better on the second watch because I played close attention. This animation is so beautiful it almost made me cry, so much attention to detail too. It's careful with it's story writing, I love how it keeps adding more and more problems to situations and ends up with a satisfying conclusion to it all. The characters are developed so well and are loveable. The main character is also so amazingly written and easily the best Ghibli protagonist. Masterpiece, obviously.
